Description

For sale: my beautiful 2002 Zephyr 2000 with a Rotax 912 ULS engine boasting 100 HP. I am parting with it to upgrade to the Echo class. This aircraft cruises smoothly and efficiently at 220 km/h, with a maximum speed of 265 km/h. I have owned it for nearly 2 years after it was in the first owner's possession for almost 20 years. Approximately €18,000 has been invested in the plane since then, with notable upgrades including a new Constant Speed Propeller, instrument panel with circuit breakers, and an oil pump conversion kit by Rotax.

Further enhancements comprise a new water cooler, brakes (cylinders, discs, calipers), LED Strobes, exhaust tailpipe, and a Lipo battery. The suite of equipment features a KTX 2 Transponder with ADSB Out, Funke radio, Kanardia EMS, AvMap EFIS, Flybox Fuel Flow Sensor, LX Constant Speed Propeller control, iPad Mini mount, and a USB port. Maintenance details include a JNP due in February 2025, a weigh-in from February 2024 indicating a empty weight of 295 kg with a payload capacity of 177.5 kg, 730 flight hours, and 1200 takeoffs.

The aircraft's condition is excellent for its age, with no damage to the fabric or paneling except for a minor swelling on the recently repainted cowling from an exhaust malfunction last year. It has been used solely for cross-country flights by me and the previous owners, as logged in the records. The 200-hour inspection was conducted around 38 hours ago, and the next JNP is due in February 2025. The parachute needs repacking in winter (with a potential repack instead of replacement as offered by the manufacturer). It has always been stored in a hangar (at EDFZ, EDFW, and Segelfluggelände Plätzer) and never exposed to the elements.
