Impulse D100

Description

For Sale: 2006 BJ Airplane / 472.5kg

This aircraft is the third owner and has a Werknummer 25. Equipped with a Rotax 912 ULS engine (100HP) and currently has 995 hours of flight time, which will continue to increase as it is still being flown.

At 992 hours, the aircraft underwent significant maintenance, including a major 1000-hour service where all hoses and the propeller gearbox were replaced. Additionally, a new Idrovario hydraulic variable pitch propeller was installed. The fuel tanks were completely replaced at 940 hours and were not simply repaired with resin. The aircraft has two 50-liter tanks for extended range flights.

Other notable features include a freshly repacked BRS parachute (valid until 5/29) and a new annual inspection and weight verification. The aircraft is also equipped with electric trim for the horizontal stabilizer and toe brakes.

Avionics on board include a Funke ATR833 radio, a TRT800H transponder (new in 2022), and a Motorola Pad. The aircraft also has a carburetor heating system, a Dynon D10A display, and a USB connection.

The logbook is complete and up to date. The flight performance of this aircraft is on par with the WT9 model, achieving a cruising speed of 235 km/h and a maximum never exceed speed (VNE) of 260 km/h.

Originally designed by Philip Steinbach after the EXTRA 300, this aircraft offers exceptional flight performance. It is worth noting that only 69 of these aircraft were produced due to the financial challenges faced by the company. However, spare parts are readily available, and the original production's aircraft mechanic is still accessible. The missing front wheel fairing is currently being replaced.

In the market, there are very few affordable ultralight aircraft that can comfortably achieve travel speeds of over 200 km/h without straining the engine. Additionally, there is a German Impulse owner currently working on a weight increase to 600kg, and there is also a turbine version available.

Regrettably, I am not parting ways with this impressive aircraft voluntarily, but due to my inability to renew my medical certificate starting from 1/24.

The aircraft is located at LOLG.
