Winterprojekt:

6 499

Description

The aircraft in question is temporarily grounded but previously had German certification. To re-register it in Germany, a new airworthiness certificate (JNP) is required. The Rans aircraft is partially disassembled for reconstruction and has not been involved in any accidents. Overall, the project is in good condition.

The Rotax 912 engine has good compression and appears to be in top shape. Unfortunately, I do not have information about its running hours. The cabin frame has been newly repainted, and the seats are in like-new condition. The propeller and spinner are already installed, and the brakes are functioning properly.

The following tasks need to be completed:

- The exhaust system, manifold, and new flanges are included but need to be customized and welded to fit.
- The installation of the oil cooler and hoses (included).
- The installation of the radio (not included).
- The installation of engine instruments (new ones with sensors included).
- The installation of flight instruments (only the variometer is included; altimeter and airspeed indicator need to be purchased separately).
- A rescue system (parachute) is not included.
- The rudder fabric covering is in good condition, but the wing fabric has defective zippers and a 15 cm tear.
- The fuselage needs to be newly fabric covered. This can be done independently using Dacron fabric. An alternative option would be to purchase a completely new finished fabric covering (costs €3500 for the entire aircraft or €1200 for just the fuselage).
- All electrical work needs to be completed.
- Lexan/polycarbonate windows and roof need to be cut (the old windows are included and there is plenty of new Lexan included).
- The front part of the engine cowling is missing.
- The water and fuel hoses need to be replaced.
- The gas-choke cable needs to be routed.

With the purchase of a used radio and rescue system, as well as self-fabricating the fuselage, it should cost around €5000 and require approximately 200 hours of work to make the aircraft flight-ready once again.
